Meet The Doctor

Dr. Betancourt was born in Charleston, SC and attended the College of Charleston until she received early acceptance to the Medical University of SC, College of Dental Medicine where she earned a Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1993.

Her passion for working with young people led her to accept a position at the University of Kentucky as a resident in pediatric dentistry. During her residency she treated minor orthodontic problems and came to realize that her true desire was to practice orthodontics. She graduated from U.K. with a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and then pursued further education.

Dr. Betancourt accepted a residency in orthodontics at St. Louis University. After completing a 30 month specialty training program in 1998 she was honored with a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Masters of Science degree in dentistry.

Dr. Kay (as her patients know her) enjoys treating patients of all ages. Practicing in Vero Beach for many years has given her the opportunity to build longterm relationships with the families that she encounters and gives her the pleasure of treating multiple generations.
